Dominica Day 4

Some roots...

I just love this kind of forest!

It's like a huge botanical garden

Whatever the estimated walking time was: we about doubled it

Who can blame us in a place like this???

We were stunned by the beauty of it

Finally arrived

Just before we were leaving, the sun made an appearance

Next stop: Freshwater lake
19°C, storm and hot chocolate

And an overenthusiastic parking lot

Grand finale of the day: Trafalgar falls - absolutely stunning!

Didn't want to leave till it was getting too dark for pictures

Dominica Day 2 & 3

Day 2: Sightseeing with Bernard south of Rosseau

 Day 3

In the morning: snorkeling at champagne reef

Cold bubbles close to the coast and a nice coral reef

Parrot fish in the whirlpool

In the afternoon: Whalewatching in the best area and the best season for it and all we saw was dolphins...

Dominica Day 1

Someone lost an ambulance?

After 3 wrong turns, we finally found the right trek

Valley of desolation - a valley bubbling with hot sulphur springs

The view was worth the ridiculous climb

Have to admit, I almost gave up - muddy staircase from hell!

Glad I made it, terrified to go the same way back...

Hot water, gusty wind

Boiling lake (made an appearance in pirates of the carribbean)
